Community & Organizations: common questions
What can I post in Community?
Announcements, free items, wanted ads, groups, volunteer calls and newcomer resources. Commercial offers belong in the matching category instead.
Where can I find help settling in Canada?
Look under Newcomer Resources, and check Professional Services for immigration and settlement help.
Is it free to post?
Yes. Posting a listing on KanadaWorld.CA is free. You can optionally promote a listing so it appears higher and is marked Featured.
How do I contact a seller safely?
Use on-platform messaging — your email and phone number stay private until you choose to share them. Meet in a public place, inspect before you pay, and never pay by gift card, cryptocurrency or wire transfer. Where a listing shows a “Buy safely” button, you can pay through KanadaWorld.CA instead: we hold the money and release it to the seller only after you confirm you received your order.
How do I list my community & organizations business?
Create a free Business Centre profile with your address, hours, photos and contact details. If your business is already listed, you can claim it and keep it up to date.
